Overlap may use AI-assisted tools internally to help our team research, write, edit, debug, test, or otherwise accelerate parts of the software development process.
These tools may support our employees and contractors as they build and maintain the Overlap service, but they do not replace our responsibility for the final product.

Our position is simple: AI may help us build software, but it is not used as part of the algorithm that determines user compatibility or match ordering.
4. Human Responsibility and Oversight
Our team remains responsible for product decisions, technical implementation, testing, and quality control.
If we use AI-assisted tools during development, those tools are used as support systems for our team. Final decisions about code, features, and system behavior are made by people.

If our use of AI materially changes, including if we ever decide to use AI in a way that affects the product experience, matching logic, or user-facing algorithmic decisions, we may update this policy and revise the effective date above.
